Let's talk about your season

The road to the World Championship

Since 2026 the former FIM JuniorGP (previously the CEV) is called FIM MotoJunior. It is the official feeder series for the World Championship and runs several classes on the same weekend:

  1. Moto4 European CupFormerly the European Talent Cup. From age 14, on the Honda NSF250R.
  2. Moto3 Junior World ChampionshipFrom age 16 up to 25.
  3. Moto2 European ChampionshipFrom age 16, with the 765 cc Triumph engine. The gateway to the Moto2 World Championship.
  4. Moto2 World ChampionshipThe last step before MotoGP.

According to the FIM and Dorna, more than 80% of the riders in the Grand Prix paddock came through this series.

Why the Moto2 European Championship

It is the closest thing to the Moto2 World Championship below it. The engine is the three-cylinder 765 cc Triumph, sealed and supplied by the manufacturer, so nobody can touch it and the difference comes from the rider, the chassis and the set-up. We race with a Kalex chassis.

It runs at Europe's top circuits. In 2026 they were Barcelona-Catalunya, Estoril, Jerez, Magny-Cours, Valencia, MotorLand Aragón and Misano. The 2027 calendar has seven rounds in Portugal, Spain, Czechia, Italy and France, with Brno as the new venue.

In Spain, MotoJunior was broadcast on DAZN in 2026, and races are also streamed live on the championship's official channels.

What you need

  • Age: 16 or older for the Moto2 European Championship.
  • Licence: the rider licence the FIM requires for the championship, issued through your national federation.
  • Experience: most riders arrive from Moto3, Supersport or national Superbike. If you have barely ridden a Moto2 bike, you can learn: Hafizh Syahrin joined our box in 2012 with a single Moto2 race behind him and was in MotoGP by 2018.
  • Budget: a Moto2 season needs funding, usually through the rider's own sponsors.

What a season costs

There is no official price and every project is different: the number of rounds, tests, crashes and parts change the figure a lot. As a public reference, rider Andrea Migno said in 2022 that he was being asked for around €200,000 for a season in CEV Moto2.

We prefer clear numbers: you get a written budget showing what is included and what is not, before you sign anything.
